No Wake Areas

This is a link to the North Carolina Administrative Code (NCAC) Title 15A, Subchapter 10F.0336
which defines No Wake areas in the portion of Lake Gaston which lies within the boundaries of
Northamption and Warren Counties, North Carolina. Paragraph (c) limits trafffic to no-wake
speeds within 50 yards of any shore facilities, including docks.

interactive Website that lists and ranks deer resistant plants. It can be sorted, selected and searched
by ranking, plant types and plant names.

NC Flood Insurance Rate Map

This is a link to the North Carolina Flood Insurance Rate Map for Northampton County, Panel 3041
which covers all of Windward Shores. This map is a PDF satellite image of the area with a blue
line indicating the 1% annual chance floodplain boundary which is set at an elevation of 203 feet.

NC Drought Management Advisory Council

The North Carolina Drought Management Advisory Council website publishes quite a bit of information
about the current drought status as well as water conservation tips. This link will display the NCDMAC main page
which include a map of the current drought status of all counties in the state. You can use this
map in conjuction with the latest letter from Aqua North Carolina to determine the current
water usage restriction status.
